This week Google launched Fiber, their home Internet service. This is, by default, super-hard Google Fiber is that you speeds up to 1 GB / s But let's see in detail what the Internet from Google and a brief comparison with what we have.

In Romania we have three players on the Internet: RDS, UPC and Clicknet. The first being the largest.
RDS. Internet 100 Mbps - 39 RON which is ~ $ 10. 100 Mbps + Internet TV - 71 RON which is about $ 18.
UPC. Internet up to 120 Mbps - 72 RON. Internet + TV Max = 122 RON, which is $ 32.
Clicknet. Internet up to 100 Mbps, multiple channels, 18 Euro per month, so about 22 dollars.
conclusion
We have Gigabit and do not think we will be soon but we have good prices for high speed internet, 100 Mbps is more than can 90% of sites on the Internet.
