Opera says it has reached 200 million users
Opera Mini and Opera Mobile have together more than 200 million users, the percentage of users is in favor of Opera Mini, which holds 92% of all users, or about 183 million users. The amount of users who use Opera Mini browser for mobile phones increased significantly last year, especially in Africa. Opera claims that one of the most spectacular growth of users is in French Riviera, Opera Mini increasing by 600% in a year.
Opera CEO Lars Boilesen, said that "For many [200 million users], a browser is more than a tool to surf the Web. Sometimes is a school when you can not afford anything, sometimes, is the only line in a world outside stopped by an oppressive regime ".
According the Norwegian company, Opera Mini users have viewed over 115 billion pages in June 2012, viewing is up more than 55% compared to June 2011.
