ASUS PadFone, a "Transformer" in the IT world

ASUS PadFone is a unique hybrid involving PadFone phone, sold bundled with the tablet Padfone Station. 4.3 inch screen phone is inserted into a special slot tablet, which attaches the connectors and terminal larger screen device's operation takes less. The hybrid resulted can get a keyboard dock as an attachment, becoming a laptop replacement.
The phone offers a glass front end without physical buttons with ASUS logo printed on the bottom and a metal frame around the handset. In the back we have a cover under which there are the slot for microSD card and the one for the SIM card. Sidewise we find the volume buttons on one side and micro HDMI and micro USB ports on the other, plus a connector for attaching to the tablet. PadFone measures 9.2 mm in thickness and weighs 129 grams. 10.1 inch tablet that is inserted in the phone measures 13.5 mm in thickness and weighs 724 grams.
To introduce the phone in the tablet, you have to lift that lid behind PadFone Station and attach your microHDMI and microUSB connector. There are two slits for 8 megapixel camera and flash of PadFone, which they share two terminals.
PadFone offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5 GHz, Adreno 225 GPU, 1 GB RAM, 16 or 32 GB internal memory plus 32 GB free cloud storage space offered by ASUS. There is also WiFi, HSPA + connectivity at speeds of 21 Mbps and GPS. ASUS PadFone has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1520 mAh battery that provides about one day of operation, gyroscope, proximity sensor and light.
The tablet provides a 10.1-inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and both displays are part of Gorilla Glass protection. Padfone Station's battery is 6600 mAh and will expand on the phone up to 5 times. As for the camera, we have available an 8 megapixel sensor with autofocus, LED flash, 1080p video capture, panorama and the original interface, which involves a swipe motion to bring the options on the screen.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running on this hybrid and ASUS has personalized the experience just a few widgets and icons, plus several options and settings buttons in the notification bar plus. Among them is the possibility to set the display Outdoor mode for extra brightness.
